R. Prabhu (born May 31, 1947) was an Indian National Congress member of Parliament in India,[1] representing the Nilgiris (Ooty) constituency of Tamil Nadu, India.
He was a member of the 14th Lok Sabha of India,[1] representing the Nilgiris (Ooty) constituency of Tamil Nadu, India.
A five-term Member of Parliament he also held several ministerial posts.[1]
He is the grandson of eminent industrialist and Indian Civil Service officer Velagapudi Ramakrishna, on the maternal side.
